Republicanii se pregătesc de încă un șoc la alegeri, într-un bastion conservator. Mai puțin de 50 de voturi diferență între cei doi candidați

The Mississippi Senate race is extremely close, with candidates Cindy Hyde-Smith and Scott Colom separated by just a few votes. After counting 96% of the ballots, Hyde-Smith led by 28 votes, but Colom gained a 43-vote lead after additional counting. There are still over 10,000 ballots with affidavits yet to be counted. Mississippi has not elected a Democratic senator since the early 1980s, and automatic recounts are not mandated by state law. The final vote count is expected to conclude soon.
