Justificat.ro is a Romanian automated fact-checking platform, operated by Innops SRL, which verifies claims, news, URLs, images and video clips using artificial intelligence models and external web sources, and publishes for each check a verdict, a confidence score and the list of sources cited.
Justificat.ro checks four types of content: text written directly by the user, news articles submitted by URL, images and video clips. For each check, the platform extracts the verifiable claims, searches independent sources in real time, compares the claims against the evidence found and produces a verdict together with the sources consulted. Justificat.ro is available as a web application, a Chrome extension, a Firefox extension and an Android application.

Justificat.ro uses six public verdicts. TRUE: the claim is supported by independent sources. MOSTLY TRUE: the claim is essentially correct but imprecise. FALSE: the claim is contradicted by sources. MISLEADING: the claim is literally correct but framed so as to suggest a wrong conclusion. INCONCLUSIVE: public evidence is insufficient for a verdict. SATIRE: the content is humour or parody, not a factual claim.

The methodology is public and versioned; we do not summarise it here, to avoid two descriptions that can diverge.
Justificat.ro is self-funded, through subscriptions and credits paid by users. The platform receives no funding from political parties, public institutions or media groups. Verdicts are generated automatically, with human review above a risk threshold — not every analysis is read by a human before publication. Justificat.ro is not an IFCN signatory and not an EFCSN member. The analyses are a tool for orientation, not judicial or forensic expertise.
