Luca Niculescu, anunț despre situația de la Cernavodă. „Am fost în camera de comandă și am văzut”

Prime Minister Luca Niculescu announced that Unit 1 of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant will reach full capacity within 24 hours after being restarted. Unit 2 remains offline. The plant had been inactive for 100 days due to low water levels in the Danube. Niculescu emphasized the importance of Unit 1 for Romania's energy security, as it contributes about 8% of the country's electricity. He expressed hope for positive news regarding Unit 2's restart soon, while acknowledging the unpredictability of such situations.
