Doi candidați pentru șefia Băncii Centrale Europene, după demisia lui Christine Lagarde
Two veteran central bankers have been nominated to succeed Christine Lagarde as President of the European Central Bank. Spain's Pablo Hernandez de Cos and the Netherlands' Klaas Knot are both experienced in crisis management. The Eurogroup will evaluate these candidates at their next meeting on November 9. Their nominations signal continuity at the ECB, as both have participated in ECB meetings. Isabel Schnabel will resign from her position in January 2027 to join the IMF, while ECB Chief Economist Philip Lane is set to retire in May. Analysts expect neither candidate to significantly alter monetary policy in the medium term.
