DOCUMENTAR. Cum a fost îngropat Dosarul „10 august“
On August 10, 2018, a violent police intervention against peaceful protesters in Romania led to widespread outrage and a significant legal case known as the "10 August" file. Initially, over 700 individuals filed complaints against the authorities, prompting a large-scale investigation aimed at identifying both the perpetrators and the moral authors behind the violence. However, as time passed, the investigation lost momentum, focusing primarily on lower-ranking officials rather than political leaders. The case faced numerous delays and was eventually classified, reopened, and delayed again through legal procedures. As of October 10, 2026, all actions investigated in the case will be considered time-barred, meaning no police officer will face criminal charges. This situation highlights the ongoing issues of impunity and the failure of state institutions to deliver justice in the face of clear abuses.
