Dan Air has announced the temporary relocation of its operations from Bacau Airport to Bucharest's Otopeni Airport due to insolvency proceedings initiated by Bacau Airport. The airline claims that the airport's management is demanding payments that are not overdue according to legal standards. Passengers with existing tickets will be contacted and can choose to fly from Bucharest or receive a full refund. The airline's difficulties are attributed to NETOPIA blocking over 900,000 euros in passenger payments. Dan Air plans to return to Bacau once there is a trustworthy partnership with the airport's management.
