Electrocentrale București (ELCEN) reports alarming losses in the heating network, requiring an additional 1,860 tons of hot water hourly to compensate. The leaks in the network managed by Termoenergetica lead to inadequate pressure and temperature for consumers. The situation is critical at CET București Sud, where the water needed to offset losses exceeds 900 tons per hour. ELCEN emphasizes that both the heating plants and the distribution network must be modernized simultaneously to improve service quality. The energy lost in the heating water is equivalent to the output of a 100 Gcal/h boiler, putting significant pressure on thermal and electric energy production facilities.
