Spanish F-18 fighter jets took off from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base after a target was detected in Ukrainian airspace near Snake Island. The target was located about 30 kilometers east of the island. The Romanian Ministry of Defense coordinated with emergency services to alert the local population. A RO-Alert message was sent to residents in the affected area to ensure their safety.
