A new photovoltaic park is set to be built in Sebeș, featuring 1,800 solar panels and 340 parking spaces. The project, valued at over 10.3 million lei, aims to produce and store renewable energy. It will occupy approximately 12,000 square meters of a 41,113 square meter site. The park will include a modern energy storage system with a capacity of 2.2 MWh, utilizing lithium iron phosphate batteries. The estimated annual energy production is around 1,255,897 kWh, covering about 61% of the local energy consumption. The project is currently in the regulatory phase, awaiting environmental approval.
