Two renowned surgeons from Krakow provided immediate assistance to police officers injured in an attack. Professor Michał Pędziwiatr and Dr. Mateusz Wierdak intervened at the scene, with Pędziwiatr later performing surgery on additional victims. The officers, Jakub Kulik and Artur Morański, were seriously injured while trying to prevent further harm from the attacker. Despite their injuries, one officer managed to subdue the assailant before collapsing. Both officers are reported to be in critical condition, with one facing life-threatening injuries.
