A surprising coincidence occurred in Krakow during a shooting attack when two renowned surgeons happened to be nearby. Professors Michał Pędziwiatr and Mateusz Wierdak rushed to assist injured police officers after the shooting ceased. The officers, Jakub Kulik and Artur Morański, were seriously injured while preventing further harm from the attacker. Both surgeons provided immediate medical aid on the scene, with Pędziwiatr later performing surgeries on other victims at the hospital. Witnesses, including a nurse and Irish civil defense volunteers, also helped the injured.
