Rescue teams in Hunedoara are working to save a tourist who fell from a mountain ridge in the Retezat Massif after slipping on ice. Two teams, equipped with a thermal drone and a canine unit, have been deployed to locate the individual. The incident occurred between Șaua Custurii and Vârful Păpușa Mică, where the tourist's companions were unable to reach him and called for help. The operation is ongoing at night, with challenging conditions due to low temperatures and icy terrain. The use of thermal imaging technology aids in searching difficult areas, while a second team has joined the effort to enhance the search capabilities.
