Andrei Ciobanu has been breeding Holmogor geese for three years, currently owning 40 specimens. He highlights their unique characteristics, including significant weight and specific body features. Holmogor females can lay 15-30 eggs per cycle, but not all are fertile, leading him to focus on selling goslings instead. Their diet mainly consists of greenery, which is crucial for their growth. Despite being a less popular breed, there is high demand among breeders, with goslings initially sold for around 100 euros each, later increasing in price due to market demand. Last year, he sold approximately 23 goslings, earning over 3,000 euros.
