Six freight cars derailed after a collision at Dorneşti station, with three overturning and one locomotive severely damaged. The incident involved a group of 19 freight cars that moved uncontrollably from Vicşani station. A tank car was also among the derailed cars, although it was empty. The collision affected the clearance gauge in the area of tracks 2 to 6 at Dorneşti. A crane from Galaţi was dispatched to assist in the recovery operations. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and passenger train services remain unaffected. CFR SA is monitoring the situation and will provide updates on the recovery efforts.
