For the 40th consecutive night, supporters gathered outside the Central Arrest in Bucharest for Călin Georgescu, who was arrested for fraud. Approximately 20 people displayed Romanian flags and banners claiming political persecution. They chanted slogans in support of Georgescu, who expressed gratitude for the letters he received while in custody. Georgescu was arrested on September 29 for forming a criminal group and fraud, following a complaint from a businessman who lost 1.1 million euros. The Bucharest Tribunal was set to review a request for house arrest but postponed the hearing to November 9.
