Craiova now has access to mountain spring water through the Isvarna 2 project, which took 13 years and cost over 500 million euros. The initiative involved 7,000 expropriations and faced various bureaucratic challenges. Mayor Lia Olguța Vasilescu emphasized the project's significance, stating it ensures a stable water supply for the next century. The pipeline spans 123 kilometers and was constructed with materials sourced from four countries. The project was supported by European funds and aimed to address future water scarcity issues.
