The UK has deployed the HMS Prince of Wales aircraft carrier to Norway for joint exercises and a security conference. The carrier is equipped with F-35 jets, Merlin helicopters, and Malloy drones. It operates under Operation Firecrest to enhance combat readiness and ally cooperation in the North Atlantic and Arctic. The carrier is escorted by the British destroyer HMS Dauntless and the Norwegian frigate KNM Fridtjof Nansen. The Atlantic Future Forum will take place onboard, gathering around 500 leaders to discuss Northern European security. This marks the first time a British aircraft carrier has refueled in a port outside the UK.
