The mayor of Craiova, Olguța Vasilescu, announced the completion of the Isvarna water supply project, which took 14 years and cost 500 million euros. This project provides the city with mountain spring water, fulfilling a long-standing promise made by previous mayors. The initiative faced numerous challenges, including bureaucratic hurdles and environmental regulations. Vasilescu emphasized the importance of collaboration with local and national authorities, as well as the support from the European Commission. The project is expected to secure clean drinking water for Craiova for the next century.
