A fire at an animal shelter in Grajduri, Iași, resulted in the death of around 30 dogs, with 600 dogs housed at the facility. The fire broke out around 1:45 AM, prompting a response from the emergency services. Firefighters deployed multiple units to control the blaze and protect the remaining animals. The fire destroyed approximately 300 square meters of property. Investigations indicated that the likely cause was a thermal effect from an inadequately protected chimney near combustible materials.
