ROMATSA terminated its contract with DAN AIR due to unpaid navigation service bills exceeding two million lei. Despite this, DAN AIR can still operate flights if payments are made before takeoff. The decision follows DAN AIR's insolvency request aimed at restructuring its operations. The airline claims the insolvency process protects ongoing contracts and allows for continued service, provided current obligations are met. Financial issues were exacerbated by a conflict with payment processor Netopia, affecting over 11,000 passengers due to canceled bookings.
