The local administration of Ghimbav plans to build a modern skate park after the previous area became unsuitable for skating activities. The project will be modeled after the Fartec skate park in Brașov, with a design contract signed for 159,600 lei. The new facility aims to cater to various sports disciplines and meet the needs of skateboarders, rollerbladers, and cyclists. The Fartec skate park, opened in December 2025, was a significant investment exceeding 11 million lei, featuring dedicated zones for different sports and night lighting.
