A couple was apprehended for stealing a gold chain from a jewelry store in Brașov using distraction tactics. The theft occurred on August 31, with damages exceeding 5,300 lei. Following an investigation led by the Romanian Police and the Prosecutor's Office, evidence including surveillance footage identified a 50-year-old woman who took the jewelry while a man of the same age distracted the store employee. On November 5, police executed search warrants at their residences in Sâmbăta de Sus to gather further evidence.
