Prime Minister Luca Niculescu and Energy Minister Dumitru Chisăliţă visited the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant after Unit 1 resumed operations. The unit had been offline for 100 days and is currently producing 41 MW. The other reactor is under maintenance. National electricity consumption was 7,144 MW, with local production at 5,660 MW, leading to a 20.8% reliance on imports. The reactors at Cernavodă contribute significantly to Romania's energy supply, covering about 20% of the total dispatchable production.
