The Alba Iulia City Hall failed to secure a contractor for the Christmas Market as the only interested company withdrew its bid. Werkstatt SRL, which previously organized a Christmas Market in Sibiu, cited insufficient time to prepare for the event as the reason for withdrawal. Following this, the City Hall announced it would take over the organization of the market, set to open on November 27, 2026. The municipality expressed appreciation for the responsible decision made by Werkstatt SRL and plans to relaunch the concession procedure for future events. The Christmas Market will feature local producers, artisans, concerts, and family activities, including a festival on December 1.
