The Cernavodă nuclear power plant has resumed energy production, currently generating 41 MW with one reactor operational. The other reactor is under maintenance. Romania is importing over 1,400 MW of electricity to meet national demand, which stands at 7,144 MW. Domestic production covers about 79.2% of consumption, with photovoltaic sources contributing 4.1%. Nuclearelectrica announced that Unit 1 was reconnected to the national grid after being offline since July due to low river flow. Both units at Cernavodă have a capacity of 700 MWe each, supplying around 20% of Romania's dispatchable energy production.
