Children in Hârșova learned about responsible pet ownership and disease prevention from veterinarians during an interactive lesson at Liceul „Ioan Cotovu”. The Pawsitive Health Romania campaign emphasizes the importance of vaccinations and medical check-ups for pets, particularly to prevent rabies. Students discussed their pets and learned that ownership involves more than just feeding and playing. The initiative aims to educate children on the responsibilities of pet care, especially for stray animals, which require veterinary attention before being adopted. The campaign has reached 39 schools, educating over 3,000 students and vaccinating more than 1,700 animals against rabies.
