The Ministry of Environment has updated the funding guide for a program supporting the installation of energy storage systems for renewable energy. Individuals with prosumer status can receive up to 15,000 lei for purchasing and installing batteries that store energy from photovoltaic panels. The program, managed by the Environmental Fund Administration, has a total budget of 400 million lei and will have two application phases: first for installers and then for individuals. Installers can apply from November 16 to 20, while individuals can submit their requests from November 20 to 25. The funding covers up to 75% of project costs, with a maximum eligible cost of 1,500 lei per kWh of storage capacity. Applicants must meet specific criteria and provide necessary documentation, including proof of prosumer status and tax compliance. The program aims to help prosumers utilize more of their generated energy and reduce reliance on the national grid.
