Prosecutors have established a timeline regarding the gas explosion in Rahova, revealing a 26-hour gap between the first gas smell report and the explosion. Despite multiple notifications about gas leaks, the responsible company failed to inform the gas distributor. The explosion, which occurred on October 17, 2025, resulted in four fatalities and injuries to eight others, with significant property damage. Investigations indicated that electrical defects caused gas leaks, leading to an explosive mixture that ignited due to a likely electrical spark.
