A police officer from Sector 3 of Bucharest was detained by DIICOT for questioning in a human trafficking case involving singer Niculae Danciu and his son, Mario. The officer allegedly admitted to leaking investigation details to the Burtea gang, leading to his judicial control. In total, 15 suspects were detained, including Mario Danciu, with charges of organized crime, trafficking, and pimping. Recent raids uncovered significant cash, weapons, and luxury vehicles. The investigation revealed a criminal group exploiting women for prostitution across Europe, with around 30 victims identified. The group reportedly generated over 3 million euros through these activities, aided by corrupt police officers providing sensitive information.
