Distrigaz and Amproperty Construct SRL, along with four employees, face trial for the deadly explosion in Rahova, Bucharest, which killed four people. Prosecutors accuse them of negligence leading to disaster. The explosion occurred on October 17, 2025, after gas leaked due to damaged underground cables. Despite multiple reports of gas smell, interventions were inadequate, allowing the situation to escalate. The investigation revealed that two agents from Distrigaz and two installers from Amproperty failed to properly address the gas leak. A total of 297 parties have claimed damages, leading to a seizure of assets worth over 68 million euros.
