Six clinical flu cases were reported without lab confirmation during week 44. The fifth monitoring week showed a slight increase in clinical flu cases, while other illnesses decreased. Flu cases were noted in infants, active adults, and those aged 50-64, with one hospitalization recommendation. A total of 1,418 acute upper respiratory infections were reported, down 445 from the previous week but still higher than last season. Pneumonia cases totaled 364, down from 441 the previous week and lower than last year's similar period. Hospitalization was advised for 118 cases, primarily in children under 4 and seniors over 65.
