An investigation is underway in Bosanci, Suceava, after four individuals were photographed using the Romanian flag to transport yard waste. The images sparked outrage online. Mayor Neculai Miron apologized and explained that the flag was taken from a storage area where worn flags were kept. He emphasized that the individuals involved, who are of Roma ethnicity, did not understand the seriousness of their actions. Miron stated that the local administration respects national symbols and that the flag was replaced due to its condition. He also mentioned efforts to support vulnerable residents and expressed regret over the incident, highlighting the need for better education.
