NATO has launched a joint platform for its 32 member states to acquire anti-drone capabilities more efficiently due to rising drone incidents in Europe. The initiative aims to simplify the procurement process, likened to an e-commerce experience. NATO has received 80 bids and signed contracts with five defense companies for various anti-drone solutions, which are now available for purchase or long-term leasing. These capabilities, costing between 1.6 million and 25 million euros, are intended for border protection and strategic locations. At the 2025 summit, NATO members committed to allocate at least 40 billion dollars over five years to enhance their anti-drone capabilities.
