President Trump expressed support for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth following the Democrats' congressional victories, despite potential calls for Hegseth's dismissal due to dissatisfaction with the Iran war. Trump stated he believes Hegseth is doing a great job, contrasting with past actions by former President Bush. However, sources suggest Hegseth could still be replaced as Republicans assess their losses. Hegseth faces scrutiny from Democrats regarding his leadership at the Pentagon, including investigations into military actions and personnel decisions. Trump praised Hegseth's commitment to the administration's agenda, while discussions about potential successors have emerged amid tensions in Congress.
