Seven schools in Sibiu County will receive European funds to support primary students at risk of dropping out. The funding is part of the PRIMII program, which aims to provide remedial classes, individualized support, and various educational resources. The selected schools scored high in a national ranking, with funding based on the number of students supported. Twelve additional schools are on a reserve list and may receive funding if others decline. The project runs until December 31, 2029, targeting around 50,000 primary students nationwide. The Ministry of Education has clarified that the total number of funded schools exceeds 650 when including affiliated institutions.
