Donald Trump announced a potential major agreement with Russia that could extend beyond Ukraine to encompass all of Europe. This statement precedes upcoming negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi, where the U.S. will mediate. Trump did not provide specific details about the agreement or its commitments. He mentioned a meeting with Kirill Dmitriev, a Russian envoy, but did not meet with the Ukrainian delegation present. The negotiations aim to find a resolution to the ongoing conflict. Trump's remarks come amid political changes in the U.S. following the Democrats' midterm election victory, with European leaders hoping for increased pressure on Russia. The Kremlin expressed hope for continued peace efforts from Trump, who may have further discussions with Putin soon.
