The Ministry of Environment has accessed only 1.3 billion euros out of the 3.6 billion euros available through the PNRR, according to Minister Natalia Intotero. She expressed regret over the loss of funds, highlighting that 400 million euros were allocated for the rehabilitation of dams built before 1989. The repair of the asphalt layer at the Valea de Peşti dam is estimated at 10.5 million euros. Intotero visited the dam to assess its condition and the ongoing repair processes. The project for the dam's asphalt repair has been approved, and the construction authorization has been issued. The minister also visited a non-compliant waste deposit in Vulcan to discuss its closure and ecological restoration.
