Bulgarian authorities dismantled an organized crime group involved in illegal migrant trafficking during a specialized operation. Four men with criminal records were arrested for facilitating the transport of foreigners across Bulgaria's southern borders and subsequently to Romania. The criminal network had been active since February 2026, using routes from Greece and Turkey. The suspects, aged 18 to 47, were apprehended in the Kărdjali and Pazardjik regions, with searches conducted at seven locations leading to the confiscation of evidence related to their illegal activities.
