In a letter to European Council President Antonio Costa, she emphasized that the current fragmented negotiation formats undermine Europe's credibility. Meloni stated that presenting a disorganized Europe only serves those who wish for the war to continue, stressing the importance of a unified approach for the sake of human lives and security. She called for a discussion among European leaders to determine who should represent the EU in negotiations and requested this topic be addressed at the upcoming informal European Council meeting in Dublin.
