The new Minister of Environment, Natalia Intotero, criticized the previous administration for failing to access significant EU funds, attributing the loss to former Minister Diana Buzoianu. During a visit to Petrorașni, she highlighted that only 1.3 billion euros of the 3.6 billion euros allocated through PNRR were accessed, with many funds lost. Intotero emphasized the need for solutions from the state budget for ongoing projects, such as the repair of the Valea de Pești dam. In response, Buzoianu defended her tenure, claiming she had reported the loss of funds early in her term and blamed corruption and incompetence within the ministry, particularly among PSD appointees.
