Four border police officers from Nădlac are under criminal investigation for bribery, accused of accepting money to allow undocumented pig transports from Hungary into Romania. Searches were conducted in Arad and Timiș counties as part of the investigation. The officers allegedly received between 500 and 1,000 lei on multiple occasions to overlook the lack of necessary documentation for these transports. One incident involved an undercover investigator who was approached by an officer demanding a bribe to avoid penalties and confiscation of the pigs.
