The Romanian Ministry of Environment accessed over 1.3 billion euros from the PNRR, out of 3.6 billion available, according to Minister Natalia Intotero. She highlighted that 400 million euros were allocated for rehabilitating dams built before 1989, including a 10.5 million euro project for the Valea de Peşti dam. Intotero expressed regret over the lost funds and emphasized the need for state budget solutions. During her visit to Hunedoara, she assessed the condition of hydrotechnical infrastructure and discussed necessary repairs. The project for the Valea de Peşti dam is approved, with construction authorization issued and bidding underway. The minister also visited a non-compliant waste deposit and held a meeting with local mayors.
