The mayor of Bacău, Lucian Daniel Stanciu Viziteu, plans to ease the tax burden for residents in 2027 by reintroducing a 10% discount for early payment of local taxes and eliminating the additional 50% tax on cars. He also stated that he does not intend to adjust local taxes for inflation unless national legislation changes. Viziteu emphasized that there is currently no obligation to update taxes, but future legal changes could require it.
