The Ministry of Education has announced the schools selected for the PRIMII program aimed at preventing functional illiteracy and school dropout. In Alba County, only one school, Mihai Eminescu Gymnasium in Ighiu, has been approved for funding, while seven others are on the reserve list. The program will support over 650 schools nationwide with activities to help students catch up, provide meals, educational materials, and counseling. The selected projects will focus on primary education, particularly in high-risk areas for early school leaving. Funding will be allocated based on agreements between the Ministry and the schools.
