Investigators claim she played a significant role by using 15 companies to create false employment records and facilitate the necessary documentation for these fraudulent claims. The scheme reportedly spanned from January 2018 to December 2025, with the aim of misleading authorities to receive unjust financial benefits. Popa has been charged with complicity in ongoing fraud and her assets are under seizure to recover the estimated damages.
