Renault, in collaboration with John Cockerill, has unveiled an innovative ground drone concept named Forefront Concept, designed for both military and civilian applications. This multifunctional, remote-controlled vehicle features all-wheel drive and electric motors, enabling high mobility and obstacle navigation across various terrains. With a payload capacity of up to 1,000 kg and an electric range of 400 km, it can perform diverse tasks such as reconnaissance and logistical support. The project combines Renault's expertise in mobile platform design and modular architecture with John Cockerill's experience in defense systems, aiming for rapid industrialization and operational effectiveness. The Forefront Concept will undergo testing with the French armed forces to refine its capabilities.
