Zalău's local council has banned bicycles and electric scooters in three pedestrian areas to enhance pedestrian safety. Vehicles allowed in these zones cannot park or stop for more than five minutes. New traffic regulations for heavy transit have also been established, directing traffic to bypass routes after construction completion. The aim is to improve traffic organization and safety for all road users.
