The prefeasibility study for the high-speed road Găneasa–Râmnicu Vâlcea–Tigveni was approved on November 3, 2026. This 110-kilometer route will connect DEx12 to the A1 motorway. The project aims to enhance connectivity with several national roads along the route. The technical solution will be further analyzed in the feasibility study, which includes constructing a new road with two lanes per direction and a design speed of 130 km/h. The next step involves obtaining a favorable opinion from the Ministry of Finance to initiate the feasibility study contract procedures.
