Construction on the last segment of the A0 Bucharest Ring Road, Lot 1 Nord, is 85% complete, according to Cristian Pistol from CNAIR. The Romanian-Italian contractor is currently working on overpasses and laying asphalt. If the pace continues, about 10 km of the 17.5 km stretch will open this year, with the remaining 7 km expected by April next year. The project, valued at over 815 million lei, is funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027. This segment is the last of seven lots for the A0 highway, with a lengthy procurement process lasting over four years.
