The "Blue Arrow" train has resumed service on the Bucharest North - Henri Coandă Airport route after a major overhaul. This marks the return of the 45th Siemens Desiro SR20D unit, which underwent extensive repairs at Electroputere VFU Pașcani. The R9 overhaul process aims to restore technical parameters and extend the vehicle's operational life by an additional 12 years. During the refurbishment, all components were thoroughly checked and repaired, enhancing safety and reliability. The reintroduction of this train comes amid increased traffic congestion on DN1 due to ongoing metro construction works.
